How to import Multi-chain Wallets to Coin98 Mobile Wallet

To import a Multi-chain wallet to Coin98 Mobile Wallet, you need its PassPhrase/Private Key. Therefore, you should store the Private Key and Passphrase carefully from the moment of creating the wallet. NOTE: Passphrase and Private Key are security keys that can be understood as a type of password in which the Passphrase consists of 12 random English keywords, while the Private Key consists of a string of letters and numbers. If you want to restore access to your wallets, you must have access to their Private Keys or Passphrases.

Step 1: Open Coin98 Wallet and click Manage on the home screen.

Step 2: Click Add Wallet.

Step 3: Select the Multi-Chain wallet icon, then click Restore.

Step 4: Name the wallet, enter or paste the Private Key or Passphrase to recover (you can scan the QR code or paste it by clicking the corresponding icons on the right).

Step 5: Select one of the following two wallet recovery options and click Connect.

  • Solana wallet recovery option:

    • For Coin98 Wallet Multi-chain wallet users: select Old Standard.

    • For Sollet/Phantom,... wallet users: select New Standard - this is an option that allows users to restore Solana wallet while keeping the old wallet address format.

  • Bitcoin wallet recovery option (Coin98 Wallet supports users to create Bitcoin wallets with 2 types of addresses):

    • Legacy Address: The address starts with number “1”, e.g 1A1Zc0dA…, usually supported by exchanges.

    • Bech32 Address: The address starts with “bc1”, e.g bc1zahd…, usually supported by non-custodial crypto wallets like Trust Wallet,...

Coin‌98 Wallet has supported users in sending BTC from the Legacy address to the Bech32 address and vice versa conveniently and easily in our latest update.

Coin98 Wallet encourages users to use the Bech32 address to enjoy a cheaper transaction fee, faster transaction speed than the Legacy address.
