What are the differences between the USD Card and the SGD Card?
Last updated
As part of our card service provider's programme update, the Coin98 Fusion Card will migrate from the Visa SGD Card programme to the Visa USD Card programme after 12 August 2026.
The core difference is billing currency: the USD Card bills all transactions in US Dollars, while the SGD Card bills in Singapore Dollars. This determines which transactions are treated as "foreign" and therefore incur a Foreign Exchange (FX) fee.
The table below highlights the key differences between the two card programmes:
Card Billing Currency
Singapore Dollar (SGD)
US Dollar (USD)
Foreign Exchange (FX) Fees
Applied to transactions not billed in SGD
Applied to transactions not billed in USD
USD / SGD Spending
SGD transactions do not incur FX fees
USD transactions do not incur FX fees
